Acerola Smoothie – Delicious and Simple

Acerola (Barbados cherry) contains high amount of vitamin C. It is also very significant source of vitamin A and several other vitamins and minerals.
Since it is not easy to get fresh acerola everywhere, you can opt for acerola powder instead. Acerola smoothie is the easiest way to pack your body with so needed Vitamin C.

Acerola Smoothie with Ginger

Ingredients

  • 10 g ginger
  • 1/2 mango
  • 1/2 cup black currant
  • 150 ml coconut drink
  • 1 teaspoon acerola powder

Instructions

  1. Peel the mango and cut into cubes. 
  2. Peel and chop the ginger as well.
  3. Put the mango cubes, ginger, black currant, coconut drink and acerola powder in a blender.
  4. Puree until it is smooth.
  5. Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve with shredded coconut.
  6. Enjoy!

Acerola Bowl with Banana and Mango

Acerola Smoothie with blueberries

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup apple juice / apple puree
  • 1 teaspoon acerola powder

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and slice it into large pieces. 
  2. Put the banana slices and, blueberries and acerola powder in a blender.
  3. Add apple juice/ puree and blend it until it is smooth.
  4. Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve.
  5. Enjoy!
