Yummy Acerola Bowl with Banana and Mango

Acerola is one of so-called superfruits. First and foremost, this cherry-like fruit is basically a treasure chest of Vitamin C. As you may know, vitamin C is an antioxidant, what means that it protects cells in your body from an oxidative stress. But that’s definitely not all. Along with the high amount of vitamin C, acerola is also a source of vitamin A, vitamin B-2, calcium, iron, and many more.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 mango
  • 1 teaspoon acerola powder
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) apple puree or one big apple
  • 1/2 cup (100 ml) coconut drink
  • decoration of your choice (fresh blueberries, desiccated coconut, etc.)

Instruction

  1. Cut 1/4 of the mango from the core. Peel the mango piece and cut it into cubes. You can also set aside some mango cubes for decoration and cut the frozen banana into larger pieces.
  2. Blend all ingredients together.
  3. Finally, pour the fruit puree into the bowl and garnish the bowl with blueberries, mango pieces, desiccated shredded coconut and if you have a fresh banana at hand, you can use it as a decoration, too.
