3 Different Simple and Tasty Açaí Smoothie Recipes

Açaí is simple yet tasty way to add nutrition to you diet. This rainforest fruit is packed with antioxidants and also a bunch of vitamins, fiber and fatty acids (eg. omega-3, omega-6, omega-9). Since you may have problems to find fresh berries (unless you live in Central and South America), the other forms (puree, juice, powder) are adequately beneficial.

1. Açaí smoothie with apple

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoon of açaí powder
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 100 grams of apple puree (frozen, if possible) or 1 apple
  • 1 cup of liquid (250ml) or more if needed – I usually use water, but you can add also milk (cow, almond, oat) or juice

Instruction

  1. Cut banana into large pieces.
  2. Add apple puree, açaí powder and the liquid of you choice (water, milk, juice).
  3. Blend all ingredients together and serve.

2. Açaí smoothie with blackberries and protein powder

Ingredients

  • 100 grams of açaí puree
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blackberries (60-70g)
  • 1 scoop of protein powder of your choice, preferably unflavoured (can be plant-based)
  • 1 cup of liquid (250ml) or more if needed – water or milk (cow, almond/oat)

Instruction

  1. Cut banana into large pieces.
  2. Add açaí puree, blackberries protein powder and the liquid (water, milk).
  3. Blend all together, pour into a glass and serve.

3. Açaí smoothie with blueberries and strawberries

Ingredients

  • 100 grams of açaí puree
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (60-70g)
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries (60-70g)
  • 1 cup of liquid (250ml), more if needed – water, milk or juice, the choice is yours

Instruction

  1. Cut banana into pieces.
  2. Add açaí puree, strawberries, blueberries and the liquid (water, milk).
  3. Blend it together and pour into a glass.

Note: You can garnish your smoothie with some fruit (banana slices, blackberries), flax seed, oatmeal or nuts.
